Plasterboard
When sticking plasterboard directly onto a brick or concrete wall, we make sure the wall is free of dust. A good idea is to use a broom dipped in water and damp the wall down, but the wall should not be "dripping" wet when we apply the adhesive.
There is a word of caution with tilt panel walls. We make sure the walls are free of the release agent used in the manufacture of the panels. We use expansion joints on long walls, so they would line up with the expansion joint in the tilt panel.
Often we use steel battens fixed to the wall on tilt panels for the reasons mentioned above or if there are cables or pipes to cover. There is another process we know how to take care of to get a nice straight wall.
